About the Girls
The first goal of Namibian Dreams upon its founding in 2009 was to raise funds for two girls from the village where Dan and Kathryn taught, Paulina and Meameno, to come visit the United States for an educational and culturally enriching experience. Thanks to the overwhelmingly generous contributions of many, many individuals, this goal was reached within less than a month and the girls visited the U.S. from late August to early September of 2009.
Moving forward, the organization will strive to reach many more children than just Meameno and Paulina. As more projects come to be sponsored by Namibian Dreams and the organization is able to touch the lives of more children, information about them will be added to the website for visitors to get a greater sense of the personal connections developed between this organization and those children who benefit from its efforts.
For now, we have information on Paulina and Meameno.
